**The Opportunity**
As an expanding business with a strong vision to deliver the highest of quality products on time, the reliability of our machines and finishing capability has never been more important.

Our Carole Park plant is looking to recruit a Finishing Manager to provide key leadership to our Finishing team of 70+ employees to enable it to become the world’s best Fibre Cement Manufacturing Facility.

We are looking for someone with significant experience leading teams within a complex manufacturing environment. You are a safety leader, with the drive, resilience and tenacity to continually assess the current performance of the finishing department and execute a continuous improvement plan across all facets of manufacturing, to deliver results in line with our strategic plan.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Drive best practice safety program around behavioural change
- Work closely with key stakeholders to formulate and drive strategy to maximise plant utilisation and output targets
- Drive best practice yield improvement program.
- Ensure Compliance to James Hardie Finished Goods Specification.
- Ensure product is compliance to AS 2908.2:2000
- Drive continuous improvement plan to achieve cash cost targets of department.
- Continually strive to develop skills and knowledge of the fibre cement process and related areas.
- Align department behaviour with the James Hardie Mission and Values
- Work in alignment with the James Hardie Zero Harm pledge and workplace safety requirements

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering preferably electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering
- 10 Yrs. Experience in a complex manufacturing environment in management and process improvement engineer roles
- Previous manufacturing leadership experience with proven ability to lead and coach a successful team.
- Ability to remain positive under pressure
- Success in delivering cultural change
- An innate desire to achieve and drive for efficiencies
- Avid collaborator with a focus on execution by fostering a people-centric positive work environment and employing a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage various stakeholders
- Strong safety leadership
