**Your new Opportunity at Nine.**
We have excellent entry-level opportunities becoming available in our Sydney office within our Technical Operations (Broadcast) department for the Nine Network.
The Technical Operations department primarily assists studio/live & post production, NPC and other departments with production, signal flow, ingest & recording needs, across 3 distinct areas. These are:
- Technical Directors
- Master Control
- Media Services
A client based operation, dependent on several other key internal and external departments.
Purpose of the roles:
- To ensure the smooth operation of the each department.
- Service the technical needs of productions in studios
- Service the signal, record and export needs of internal and external departments
- Complete all scheduled jobs to a technically accurate level
- Provide operational assistance across Technical Operations as required
Key responsibilities include:
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work under the pressure of a “live”, dynamically changing environment.
- Able to work on Productions requiring complex operations
- Able to setup and operate various broadcast equipment
- Knowledge of television transmission principles
- Knowledge of precision instruments to measure vision and audio parameters
- Other duties as reasonably required.
Outcomes:
- Smooth running of area and completion of all bookings
- Adapts to varied and complex formats with ease.
- Intuitive knowledge of all relevant equipment and the willingness to assist internal & external clients to complete their bookings
- Technically accurate productions, records, replays, archive and playouts
- Assistance in the principal goal of maintaining the continuity and quality of Nines transmission
- Deals with pressure, prioritises and performs duties with minimum delay

In order to succeed, you will ideally have the following qualities, skills and experience:
Essential experience & skills
- Computer literacy and technical adaptability
- Demonstrates a positive, professional, clear communication style and team focus
- Understanding of television principles, signal flow including 2110 and SDI, camera chain and production techniques, codecs, processes and systems involved in ingesting and recording material.
- Demonstrates a positive and professional communication style
- Ability to work an evolving and production driven shift work roster
- Full working rights in Australia.
Desirable experience & skills
- Competent in control room, studio floor and technical setup.
- Knowledge of production procedures, terminology, and equipment operation.
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
