State Operations Manager

About the Role: Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this position is responsible for managing day to day administrative operations, liaising with customers, vehicle maintenance, and workplace site audits ensuring WHS standards are met. Providing excellent customer service and being proactive in maximising growth opportunities will also be part of this role whilst meeting objectives for both local and regional customers. **Key Responsibilities**: - Ensure efficient and effective operation of the depot. - Implement processes to optimise depot performance and productivity. - Develop and implement operational plans to ensure the successful delivery of services to clients. - Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPI’s) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure customer satisfaction. - Maintain all staff WHS requirements. - Co-ordinate customer and staff schedules - Management of staff to ensure labour expenses are conducive to our budgets. - Ensuring pre-start checklists are completed at the beginning of each day. - Training, mentoring and coaching staff as and when required. - Providing feedback to management, including weekly reports - New staff inductions and overseeing of training. - Manage and oversee our Data Management System, including data entry, data analysis, and reporting. **Key skills and experience for success in this role include**: - Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organisational skills. - Strong people management skills - Excellent communication skills - Experience in overseeing the operation and maintenance of a small motor vehicle fleet (preferred but not essential) - Knowledge of logistics and transport regulations - An ability to create and promote a team culture that encourages top performance and high morale whilst achieving business objectives.
