Role Overview:
The Audit Partner will play a key leadership role within our firm, responsible for overseeing and managing the audit practice in Melbourne. As an integral member of our senior management team, the Audit Partner will provide strategic guidance, drive business development, and ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our firm while building and nurturing strong client relationships.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement the audit practice's strategic objectives, in alignment with the firm's overall goals.
- Provide visionary leadership, inspiring and guiding the audit team to achieve exceptional results.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the audit department.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including existing and potential clients.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and market developments to proactively identify areas for growth and innovation.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their unique needs and providing expert advice and solutions.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Nurture and strengthen client relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement.
- Team Management and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of audit professionals, fostering their growth and career progression.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the audit practice.
- Allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization and efficient workflow management.
- Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and quality assurance processes.
- Monitor and mitigate audit-related risks, ensuring adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
- Stay informed about changes in auditing and accounting regulations and proactively implement necessary updates.
**Requirements**:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with significant experience in audit and assurance services.
- Registered Company Auditor
- Proven track record of success in a leadership role within an audit practice, preferably at a reputable accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professional conduct.
