**About the role**
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare high-quality social media content and online articles which connect with the community and improves community awareness and understanding of council program, initiatives and decisions.
- Provide high-level advice on content, videography and photography opportunities and techniques to maximise the impact of council’s corporate messaging.
- Provide quality, timely photography and videography services for print, online and other digital platforms as part of council’s Media and Communications team to promote council programs, initiatives, and decisions.
- Provide training, advice, and guidance as necessary to branch members in photography and videography to support the branch’s broader output.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ability to provide quality, timely photography and videography services for print, online and other digital platforms
- Ability to prepare social media and website content which connects with the audience
- Proven experience and applied understanding of media and communications, in the context of a mid/large, fast paced government or corporate environment
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve identified outcomes
- Tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, marketing or related field, and/or extensive experience to carry out the range of duties required
- Current Queensland “C” class licence
**About the benefits**
This is a permanent, full-time, Level 5 role with a base salary of $97,827 in addition to superannuation of up to 12.5% and leave loading.
