We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager or Manager to take on a leadership role in a well-established team in our Geelong Office. The role is perfect for an accounting Manager who is passionate about fostering a supportive environment for growth within your team, the business, and the community.

You will join a firm where you can drive your own career and will leverage leadership and technical expertise across accounting, compliance and advisory services to play a key role within the division. This role is an opportunity for you to help manage the team’s workflow and work closely with Directors and senior team members to establish relationships with key clients and develop your leadership skills.

In this hands-on client facing role, you will deliver an exceptional client service with a focus on quality and an in-depth understanding of client needs. Working with managers within the team you will be responsible for:

- Using your technical expertise across accounting and tax to deliver complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies, partnerships and trusts
- Monthly management reports and the construction of logical and accurate working papers
- Proactively managing the workflow of the team
- Providing clarity of expectations and outcomes for team members, delegating work and providing support and guidance to ensure team members are appropriately developed to have the skills to thrive in their roles.

About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- CA/CPA qualification
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a professional services firm
- Experience managing multiple staff members
- Deadline driven with strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders

You will be joining a leadership team of a Director and a Manager who will be integral to your success, and will support you to deliver work across a complex and diverse client base.
