**Cellar Hand Job Profile and Description**

A Cellar Hand is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the cellar

**_Main Duties: _**
- To ensure that the cellar is kept in a clean and orderly manner at all times
- To maintain correct rotation of kegs, report of any issues or returns
- To ensure the bar fridges are correctly restocked in the morning prior to opening
- To ensure that sufficient stocks of all materials are being kept and stored under the correct conditions.
- To liaise with management daily regarding any shortages, breakages or ullage
- To ensure that all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed.
- To ensure that maintenance problems are promptly reported..
- To ensure that all invoices are checked off correctly (signed, dated & noting time of arrival and any shortages noted clearly)
- To setup the area within the venue in a timely manner

**Skills and Specifications**

For the Cellar hand to be able to perform their duties and responsibilities well, they should have certain skills and abilities and should include the following:

- Must love and enjoy working with in a busy pub environment
- The level of personal hygiene should be high
- Good organisational skills
- Can work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail plus the ability to quickly identify and resolve problems

- Adopt safe manual handling techniques when lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing etc. Ensure that all staff adopt the same techniques to minimise any accident or injuries within the workplace and ensure that the appropriate action is taken and paperwork is filled out.**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour
