**Description**:
About the Role

This opportunity will suit someone with kindergarten experience who supports children’s right to play, nature play and risky play or is willing to learn about these. The Early Childhood Educator will work with children and their families to maximise the potential of all children in meeting their developmental and unique needs in a holistic and integrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander early learning setting. Proactively plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate play-based programs and early learning experiences for individual children and groups of children, as part of a team learning environment with colleagues.

Achieve “Child Engagement and Learning Outcomes” targets within specified timeframes, as outlined on dashboard system (e.g. achieve minimum learning activities that build identity, behaviours, social inclusion, fine and gross motor skills, retention of children throughout term etc).
Provide intent-based pedagogy, learning activities and mindful interactions that build secure and respectful relationships with all children.
Deliver initial and ongoing learning observations to all individual children that documents and adjusts child’s learning activities according to their needs and development.
Engage families and caregivers through proactive communication on child’s needs and progress at kindy.

**Benefits**:
Base salary starts at $57,875 to $68,151 plus superannuation (depending on qualification and experience).
Access to salary packaging - up to $15,900.

**Skills and Experiences**:
COVID-19 Requirements
- Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine.

Required

Diploma qualification and Cert 3 Children’s Services (or equivalent) will be considered.
Experience working with kindergarten aged children.
A demonstrated ability to implement a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children are met.
Well-developed interpersonal oral and written communication and information technology skills.
An understanding of early childhood development theories and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies and procedures.
Demonstrate an understanding and empathetic attitude when working with families and children.
Current National Police Check.
Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
Current Driver's License.
Working with Children’s Check (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
Disability Worker Screening (Yellow Card) or be eligible to apply.

Preferred

Transport experience in an early childhood setting.
