Housekeeping Room Attendant

**Position Title**: Room Attendant **Classification Level**: Level 2 Guest Services **Reports To**: Executive Housekeeper **Key Objective of Position**: To ensure all Motel and Villa Rooms are prepared and maintained to an exceptional cleaning standard. **Responsibilities**: - Change bed linen daily including mattress protector, pillow protectors, blankets and pillows as required. - Vacuum carpet. - Dust all furniture, e.g., picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers. - Remove fingerprints and smudges, e.g., mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc. - Thoroughly clean the bathroom area - wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc. - Clean fridge and defrost when necessary. - Make sure standard room set-up is implemented. - Immediately report all damage found in a room. - Immediately report all missing items in room. Report immediately personal guest items found in vacant rooms. - Notify Executive Housekeeper of all rollaways or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage. - Take responsibility for pass key and ensure its safe return at the end of every day. - Turn in immediately all "lost and found" items to Executive Housekeeper. - Shut off all lights, TVs and air conditioners when leaving room check smoke alarms. - Report immediately to the Executive Housekeeper: - No luggage - No service needed. - Extra guests. - Anything unusual. - Provide excellent customer service. - Perform general housekeeping duties. - Participate in meetings and training as required. - Be familiar with and adhere to all policies, procedures and reasonable directions of the Company. - Work safely and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. - Any other reasonable duties as requested by your supervisor/manager. **Skills & Experience**: - Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and discretion - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Good planning, organisational and problem solving skills **Behavioural Qualities**: - Approachable, friendly and respectful, with a strong customer focus - Responsible and accountable, with the ability to use initiative and work under pressure - Able to maintain high levels of productivity with a Can-Do attitude - Works well both individually or in a team - Professional in manner and appearance - Approachable, friendly and respectful, with a strong customer focus - Responsible and accountable, with the ability to use initiative and work under pressure - Able to maintain high levels of productivity with a Can-Do attitude - Works well both individually or in a team - Professional in manner and appearance **Physical Requirements**: - Lifting above shoulder height/overhead work - Lifting weights of up to 20kg - Pushing/pulling - Bending/stooping - Turning/twisting/extending/reaching - Squatting/kneeling/crouching/crawling - Gripping/repetitive use of hands - Climbing stairs/ladders - Sweeping/mopping/vacuuming/shovelling/polishing/scrubbing - Operating plant, equipment or machinery - Walking over uneven terrain - Using or handling chemicals - Working in hot, cold or wet conditions - Working alone **Licences, Tickets, Qualifications, Registrations and Memberships**: - Relevant Driver’s Licence**Job Type**: Casual **Salary**: $21.29 - $35.61 per hour Schedule: - Rotating roster COVID-19 considerations: You are required too be fully vaccinated.
