**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are seeking Planner and scheduler to join our Service Team, based at Thornton. You will take responsibility for assisting the Regional Manager to plan and coordinate activities associated with delivering production and service jobs along with project works delivered by NSW Cables business unit.
Your strong communication, negotiation and organisation skills along with your attention to detail will play a pivotal role in ensuring we provide exceptional customer service in meeting client's production needs.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
You will take responsibility in reviewing schedules, planning resources and coordinating the delivery of our services, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
Predominately you will be responsible for ensuring that all work performed within our NSW Cables site is planned with appropriate resources and materials available to ensure the work is executed in accordance with our customer requirements.
The daily role requirements include:
- Coordinating activities within the teams to optimise personnel, material and machine efficiency.
- Providing on time service to customers to meet and exceed their expectations
- Working with Managers and Team Leaders to ensure scheduling is on point and the projects are tracking against the work currently in progress.
- The ability to make those priority calls on the tasks at hand to ensure we meet our customer needs
- Be a high-level contributor in the preparation, handover and monitoring of job packages to ensure correct and necessary information is communicated to relevant personnel
**YOU'LL NEED THESE TO SUCCEED**
Your willingness to gets hands on in a technical manufacturing environment will be complemented by the following:
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Sound analytical and business acumen, with focus on estimating, costing and budgets
- Developed time management skills
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing projects and service work
- Demonstrated experience in resolving problems - both technical and people management issues
- Experience with using ERP packages
- Previous involvement in Business Improvement projects (desirable)
