**About the Position**

We currently have a vacancy for a dedicated, reliable and flexible Support Service Worker to join our kitchen team as a
**Catering Assistant**, working on a casual basis - across weekdays and weekends at our St Martins Residential Aged Care Facility in Taigum.

This role’s overall purpose is to assist the cook/chef in the preparation and serving of meals for residents and ensuring the kitchen is maintained in a clean and hygienic manner.

**About You**
As a motivated and skilled Food Services Assistant/Kitchen Hand, you will offer the following abilities and experience:

- Assisting with meal preparation and service
- Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy and ensuring Food Safety Guidelines are adhered to
- Support senior staff with special occasion requests including birthdays
- Operation of Food Service equipment in-line with instructions
- Experience working within designated timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Previous experience in food preparation within a Residential or Commercial environment
- Understanding of Infection Control/Bacterial hazards and Safe Food Handling
- A current National Police Certificate
- Full Covid Vaccination evidence
