**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quality Systems Manager to lead and manage effective Quality Assurance practices to ensure the consistent delivery of quality products to customers. You will support the business to achieve its operational and strategic goals through managing effective QA practices, whilst always emphasising workplace health and safety, food/hygiene safety, Department of Agriculture, and other required legislative compliance.
**You will also have experience in**:
- Verify and maintain success profiles, work instructions and SOPs across functional responsibilities
- Discuss and participate in training and development requirements
- Seek assistance from relevant departments (such as Operations, Engineering, IT, HR) to support the business achieve both customer and regulatory outcomes, as required
- Sound investigative processes to deliver sound corrective action management
- Daily planning and coordination to meet manning and regulatory requirements
**ABOUT YOU**
- Previous experience in a similar role within a meat processing environment
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Experience as a Quality Officer in regulatory, compliance or associated areas preferably in FMCG manufacturing
- Qualifications in HACCP and Quality Management
- Experience and Qualifications in AusMeat highly regarded
- A strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Be self-motivated, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate or above computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Attention to detail, initiative, time management and methodological approach to managing workload.
