We are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager for this beautifully restored hotel located in region Victoria.

The hotel features onsite Guest Accommodation, bar, restaurant and beer garden. There are wildlife and recreation reserves and many local attractions to visit on days off.

The town is friendly with welcoming locals and provides a range of services such as hospital, pharmacy, schools, community activities and a variety of shops.

**Package**:

- $80,000 Salary
- Free Accommodation - 2 Bedroom home
- 5 Day week

**Duties**: (Full position description provided)
- Manage the business aspects of the bar and accommodation areas such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets and setting goals whilst controlling expenditure.
- Ensuring all licenses are updated and in line with current legislation.
- Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
- Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis developing improvement actions, carry out cost savings and make decisions accordingly.
- Assist with development of annual hotel budget, including weekly labour budgets, revenue and expenses.
- Ensure the security of all monies either by storage in the hotel safe.
- Accurately receipt all monies received, balance and deposit at the bank.
- End of month activities including but not limited to monthly balance, petty cash and sundry debtors.
- Manage software and hardware maintenance and upgrades for hotel operations.
- Perform daily or weekly computer back-up operations for all hotel systems as recommended.
- Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
- Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons.
- Plan and prepare rosters to ensure adequate coverage and service levels during all trading hours.
- Understand correct awards and wages.
- Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
- The daily needs of our guests including front of house, food and beverage operations
- Maintain positive communication with the leaseholders of the food service area to provide an overall positive customer experience for the hotel.
- Lead and monitor the overall presentation of the hotel to ensure it meets visual standards.
- Deal with contractors and suppliers
- Address problems and troubleshoot accordingly
- Promote and market the business through the website and other forms of social media.
- Positively represent the hotel and its services throughout the local community.
- Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
- Diffusing tense situations between patrons or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed.
- Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.
- Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.
- Planning and taking part in promotional events.
- Ensure that matters which arise that are not within the scope of these stated duties are referred through the Board of Directors.
- Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management
- Previous hospitality management experience
- Current Victorian RSA
- Current Police Clearance
