Bakers Delight, Ascot Vale & Showgrounds Village, is seeking an experienced, motivated, hardworking and dynamic senior sales assistant to lead our delightful team on a full time/part time basis.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Implement retail strategies to raise store traffic and increase sales;
- Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff;
- Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service;
- Complete bakery administrative duties and ensure compliance with policies and procedures;
- Maintain outstanding bakery compliance and visual merchandising standards;
- Report on customer trends and needs, and provide feedback to instigate change to meet current demands;
- Propose innovative ideas to increase sales and customer numbers;
- Provide constructive feedback to the sales teams on their performance and training needs;
- Prepare and manage rostering of sales rostering;
- Manage with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.);
- Lead and develop a team of highly performing staff;
- Additional duties as required.

**You will have**:

- Previous experience and proven success in retail sales
- A positive can-do attitude with a high level of energy
- Powerful leading skills in managing staff and tasks
- Possess strong customer service, upselling and strategic sales skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

The role offers flexible hours which will include weekends, mornings and evenings.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Public holidays
