**The Job - Veterinary Nurse - Albany Creek Veterinary Surgery (AC Vets Hospital)**
We require an experienced veterinary nurse to work a flexible minimum 20 to 30 hour week.
**About us**
Albany Creek Veterinary Surgery (AC Vets) is small animal practice that has been operating for over 30 years. We completed a new purpose built Veterinary Practice building which opened in August 2018. We have a team of 10 vets (4 to 6 vets each weekday and 2 on Saturdays) supported by a dedicated team of 12 vet nurses. We are closed Sundays and there are no afterhours. We are within 5 minutes of a referral and after-hours emergency specialist practice.
We open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm and Saturday from 8.30am to 4pm.

- We have a fantastic team of 12 nurses with fully trained UQ Vet Tech graduates and Cert IV qualified nurses with a wide range of experience to offer and support new team members.

- We have wonderful clients who are prepared to work up cases.
We are equipped with full blood testing in-house, Idexx Vetlab station including Catalyst Dx, ProCyte Dx, SediVue Dx and UA, CoAg and SNAPshot Dx. We have a digital X-ray developer and dedicated X-ray and ultrasound room, two IM3 dental stations with CR 35 digital dental X-ray, 4 anaesthetic machines, pipped oxygen throughout with full patient monitoring capacity and IV pumps, MyLab ultrasound, Doppler blood pressure, tonometry and microscopy.
Nurses are encouraged to be part of full medical in-house work up. We offer clients a full range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery including patella surgery, in-house orthopaedics and a visiting TTO specialist, as well as visiting cardiologist and specialist ultrasonographer.

- Replacing a nurse who is going to Canada for a ski season and plans to return
