Cytogenetics Analyst

Melbourne Pathology is one of Victoria’s largest diagnostic pathology laboratories, committed to providing high quality health care throughout metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate. Melbourne Pathology is part of the Sonic Healthcare group, which has a number of Cytogenetic laboratories in Australia and overseas.

The Cytogenetics Department of Melbourne Pathology is a busy laboratory processing a range of specimens using cytogenetic, microarray and FISH techniques.

Opportunities exist for scientists to join the Cytogenetics Department in full or part-time positions, performing cytogenetic analysis. Applicants are required to have a science degree with a major in genetics and should be enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in rosters which may include weekends and public holidays.
