Automotive Parts Delivery Driver

Due to rapid growth in parts sales, a rare opportunity now exists fora **Full Time Automotive Parts Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver** for an **Immediate Start** to join our well-established multi-franchised dealership. You will be working closely with the Parts Team to learn all aspects of a fast paced Parts Department. The successful applicant will need to be physically fit, start by assisting in the Parts Warehouse picking & packing parts for local and country customers, marking off and putting away stock orders and delivering orders to our customers. There is potential of advancement to Internal Workshop Parts Sales and later to assist in our phone room with trade & retail customers. Experience within Automotive Parts and/or Forklift Licence would be advantageous.

The **Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver** role will include but not limited to:

- Ensuring correct picking and dispatch of orders
- Ensuring correct, secure and safe loading and unloading of vehicles
- Dealing with customer enquiries at point of delivery and collecting cash payments
- Reporting all damages, faulty equipment or accidents to the Parts Manager
- Obey all safety guidelines whilst around forklifts or using equipment
- When and if operating a forklift, ensure daily check is undertaken and any faults reported
- Maintain the warehouse, keeping it clean, safe and manageable
- Maintaining effective communications with all staff
- Work to strict deadlines to ensure that all commitments to customers are met
- Carry out all work instructions within set time-frames
- Assist with Stock Takes and Stock Control

The **successful applicant** will:

- Have a Drivers Licence (Full or Probationary)
- Have multi-drop delivery experience and arrange delivery runs in optimal order
- Have/or be prepared to obtain a Forklift Licence
- Have good Numeracy & Literacy skills
- Speak fluent English
- Have basic computer literacy
- Pride themselves on their customer service and can do attitude
- Be competent in understanding Dangerous Goods safe work practices, storage and packaging
- Ability to multi task with high attention to detail
- Be a co-operative team player who can also work autonomously to set procedures and deadlines
- Be reliable with a strong work ethic, while being enthusiastic and adding to a positive team environment.
- Have high personal standards of honesty & integrity
- Be willing to follow their manager's instructions to ensure customer's needs are met

This is a Full Time Position and would also suit someone wanting a long term career in Spare Parts either Warehouse and Driving or as a Parts Interpreter.

We use late model, fully maintained Mitsubishi Express, Automatic, LWB Delivery Vans.
