As a Therapeutic Youth Worker at Mackillop, you’ll play a vital role in delivering therapeutic support to vulnerable children and young people with complex needs who are unable to live in foster care. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you'll help address their emotional, social, and behavioural challenges, supporting their healing and growth in both home and community settings. Many of these young people face difficulties related to mental health, disability, and behaviour, which can pose risks to themselves and others.

**Key Selection Criteria**:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

- Proven ability to work therapeutically with young people facing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, as well as those who have experienced significant trauma and adversity.
- Track record of following case plans, behaviour support plans, and safety plans for young people with complex needs, including challenging behaviour.
- Ability to role model and reinforce positive behaviour through social learning, social responsibility, and emotional intelligence.

- Hourly Rate of $37.35 to $40.05 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 3, dependent on qualification and experience.

**Requirements**:
To be eligible for this role, you must possess:

- Have a Cert IV in Community Services, or Youth Work (or related) or higher or be willing to obtain.
- Valid and current Driver's License
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop)
- Valid Employee Working with Vulnerable People Check
