**The Role**
Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for achieving team objectives through policy development, program management, and supporting legislation processes. In addition, the Assistant Director will lead business engagement with ICT projects and the development of diverse communications products, including talking points, ministerial speeches, briefs, presentations, and correspondence on the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP).

**Skills and Capabilities**
We are seeking individuals with the following skills and capabilities:

- strong analytical skills.
- the ability to formulate advice and provide input into complex issues, with strong attention to detail.
- demonstrated organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
- outstanding initiative and sound judgement with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- strong liaison and relationship skills, including experience preparing written material for a wide range of stakeholders.
- previous experience in program management or policy development will be highly regarded.
