**The opportunity**:
We have an opportunity for a part-time pharmacy technician to join our Epic Pharmacy team based onsite at the West Gippsland Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to further enhance your career in an ever-evolving multidisciplinary team environment. Work with an expert team of local staff and doctors to provide clinical pharmacy services across a variety of settings, including General Medical, General Surgical, Maternity/Paediatric, Geriatric Evaluation and Management and Oncology within the public hospital.

Warragul is conveniently located and is approximately 60 minutes’ drive to many recreational activities ranging from the Melbourne CBD, Victorian snowfields and Victoria’s beaches.

Hours: We are looking for a team member to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The position is 7.5hrs per day 6 days a fortnight. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in week 1 and Thursday, Friday in week 2.

**In this role, you’ll**:

- Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
- Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
- Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
- Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
- Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
- Assist with patient account enquiries

- Previous experience dispensing medication in an Australian pharmacy
