We are currently seeking experienced Kitchen Hands to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home located in Eaton. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Fields is a 160 bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24 hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience or an interest in food preparation and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.

We have two permanent part time roles available, working closely with the Chef in the main kitchen across the following rosters:
**39 hours per fortnight**
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9.30am - 4.30pm

**27.5 hours per fortnight**
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8am - 2pm
- Week 2: no scheduled shifts, opportunity to pick up casual shifts

**About You**
- Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations

**The Role**
- Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery
