**ABOUT THE ROLE...**

Our Zoo Learning team is looking for an experienced Administrative Officer to provide office support (including

reception, clerical, and administrative duties) for the Zoo Learning team based at **Monarto Safari Park.** This role will be offered as a 12 month fixed term contract commencing as soon as a suitable applicant is appointed, at 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week over 3 or 4 days).

The Administrative Officer will be integral to the smooth and efficient functioning of Zoo Learning bookings and invoicing at MSP. You will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to directly to clients, assisting them with their excursion and program bookings and providing high level efficient and timely support to the Zoo Learning team with respect to this.

You will report directly to the General Manager - Zoo Learning and be responsible for the following (but not limited to):

- Produce up to date information about Zoo Learning activities for both internal and external use;
- Work with the Zoo Learning team to address enquiries (in a timely manner) from teachers/schools and understand calendar availability for bookings;
- Liaise with staff from other departments to ensure smooth delivery of Zoo Learning programs and other organisational activities;
- Assist external teachers in planning their visits;
- Ensure booking information and other relevant information is sent to clients in a timely manner;
- Promote Zoo Learning programs to clients;
- Set up and maintain administration and information systems for the Zoo Learning department including bookings, invoicing, filing;
- Manage and reconcile the invoicing and payments for Zoo Learning programs;
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of administrative systems including booking processes.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

- Excellent knowledge and aptitude for using Microsoft Office, Galaxy experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience within an Education and/or administration environment;
- Previous experience managing a busy inbox, telephone inquiries, addressing bookings
- Outstanding communication skills to liaise with schools and external providers;
- Well-developed observational skills and attention to detail; and
- Ability to arrange personal work routines and practices to make optimum use of time and resources.
