Personal Care Support Worker

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assisting clients with assisted daily living and mobility duties such as showering, bathing, dressing, personal grooming, and dental hygiene, toileting, bladder, and bowel management.
- Assisting clients with transfers in and out of bed and/or wheelchairs using hoists and any other equipment as required.
- Medication assistance
- Domestic support such as meal preparation, general household cleaning and laundry
- You will need to be physically capable of constant lifting, bending, and carrying

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 1 year as a support worker
- Must have experience providing personal care & community support to clients with mental health
- Must be tech-savvy
- Ability to learn new skills with the client
- Must have a positive attitude as well as a strong sense of accountability and confidentiality

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Australian citizen or has the Right to Work in Australia
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or above
- Cert IV in Mental Health (Highly regarded)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
- Full Driving License and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Comprehensively insured car (preferred)

**OTHER CERTIFICATIONS**:

- Manual Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Medication Certificate (highly desirable)
- Basic Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Experience with Infection Control & Waste Management
- NDIS Orientation Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS COVID 19 Certificate (or willing to obtain)
