Duty:

- Ensure unused / left over masterbatch bags are taped up and weighed before returning to Masterbatch storage area and placed in container correctly labeled.
- Mix materials as required, having first checked existing stock levels at machine
- Ensure that only sufficient material for the job is mixed by performing the necessary calculations from the daily outstanding quantities, so that excess material is not wasted.
- Ensure that the mix proportions of virgin material, master batch and additives are correct, as described in the Product Specification and any changes to the percentage (%) use of masterbatch reported to the Production Manager.
- Manage colour and / or material changes. Ensure hoppers, bins, hopper loaders, and granulators are cleaned properly.
- Ensuring all material hoppers and bins are full and labeled correctly.
- Record all materials that get issued to the machines in Masterbatch and Raw Material Traceability Register provided
- Maintain stock records for all master batch and additive resins.
- Ensure vacuum/motor loader filters are cleaned in accordance to the Material Loading Filter Cleaning Roaster.
- Ensure Material Loading Filter Cleaning Roaster is signed off upon completion of cleaning.
- Ensure regrind is set at 45%, monitor levels and adjust as needed. Ensure the shift production supervisor is notified if adjustment is needed.
- Ensure that all raw materials bins are correctly identified and labeled including material coming back from the production floor when the run is completed.
- Monitor Blender operations for any material supply or cycle faults.
- Advice the Maintenance Supervisor of any repairs required to mixing and handling equipment
