The Principal Directional Studies role will provide technical expertise to enable the Group Technical Services team and other Group functions to deliver strategic and tactical objectives. The role ensures delivery of Resource and Project studies to the Group Technical Services Team and other Group functions to deliver strategic and tactical objectives. The role will interact regularly with senior leaders and influence multi-disciplinary teams.
About the role
The role provides specialist technical and study management to deliver strategic studies for sites and at group level. These studies identify the Full Value Potential of our assets, drive transformation, innovation and opportunities for improvement.
Provide expert technical services for the preparation and delivery of:
- Directional Studies including Strategic and Resource Development Potential (Full Value) studies;
Other Group Level strategic & conceptual studies
Develop and maintain processes and systems to support Group Level Studies, including financial evaluation
Arrange, facilitate and participate in workshops to develop strategy & plans
Measure, track and review compliance to company & industry standards
Stay current with new developments in technology in the operational, technical and projects area
Prepare business cases to gain support for studies and projects
Support the Technical due diligence work for M&A activity, including possible site visits
About you
To succeed in this position, you will drive transformation and innovation within Evolution.You will require:
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Metallurgy or related field required
Post graduate qualification in a related or relevant discipline preferred
Member of Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy or similar professional affiliation
Minimum 10 years in metalliferous operations(Planning and Operations) with a strong background in precious metals
Demonstrated success in delivering technical services &/or studies and projects including improvement and transformation
