**About the role**

Eastern Health is currently looking for passionate and experienced Social Workers to join our Allied Health teams. Our sites and departments are located across the eastern region of Melbourne. Variable work days Mon-Sun.

This role provides service to our acute general medicine wards at Box Hill Hospital. The role is supported by social work team and Senior Social workers, as well as a dynamic Allied Health Department. This role will allow you to work across a variety of inpatient settings, with opportunities for professional development.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent risk assessment skills
- The ability to lead complex discharge planning
- Conflict resolution skills
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
