**Job Description**:
Working as part of a fast-paced team, you will be responsible but not limited to:
- Ensure that correct procedures are utilized in all aspects of recording, sampling, preparation, analysis, storage and reporting
- Follow routine and non-routine sampling instructions under supervision
- Compliance with analytical methods, procedures and to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
- Day to day upkeep of analytical and sample preparation equipment.
- Carry our other duties as required.
- Delivery of quality samples to both internal and external customers.
**Qualifications**:
- Appropriate on-the-job training with 6-12 months experience in a laboratory or chemical process; OR
- Completion of Higher School Certificate with passes in English, Maths and Science or equivalent
- Progress towards or completion of relevant higher formal qualifications preferred
- Completion of a numeracy, writing and comprehension test to required standard
- Previous experience in a similar prep/laboratory is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work in a team environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- A valid driver's licence (Car - minimum green provisional Car Licence)
