Oosh Assistant

**About the Role**
We are seeking Out of School Hours Assistants to join our Before and After School Care team. The successful applicant must be available for morning & afternoon hours and vacation care.
This is a casual position.

To be effective in this position the successful applicant should have:

- Working knowledge of current childcare legislation, including the EYLF and MTOP framework
- An understanding of the National Quality Laws and Regulations is desirable
- Previous experience working with children, preferably primary school-aged children, is not essential but will be highly regarded
- Education and Care First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certifications or be willing to obtain
- Child Protection Accredited Child Protection CHCPRT001

Duties include:

- Deliver the Before, After and Vacation Care programs under the supervision and direction of the Educational Leaders and Director
- Build a healthy relationship with children and their families
- Assist in delivering the service in accordance with appropriate policies and standards
- Assist with administration as required by the Director

Operation Hours are Monday to Friday:

- Before School 6:30am to 9:00am
- After School 2:00pm to 6:30pm
- Vacation Care (School Holidays) 8:00am to 5:00pm. Vacation care periods may have different shift requirements that can be negotiated
- Additional hours may be required for administration and other preparations
