Experienced Horse Person for Thoroughbred Stud

Davali Thoroughbreds is located in the lower Hunter Valley of NSW and we are seeking a full time, experienced horse person to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about the industry and who has the desire to play a key role in the ongoing care of our broodmares, youngstock and spellers.

The role includes but is not limited to:

- Handling horses of all ages on the farm
- Performing health checks and maintaining horse treatment records
- Treating and reporting of injuries and illnesses
- Working closely with our vet and farrier
- Responsibility for feeding and watering horses
- Maintaining clean and safe stable facilities
- Maintaining clean and safe paddocks

The successful applicant will:

- Have sound knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a broodmare farm
- Have at least three years’ experience in a similar role
- Provide suitable references for their experience
- Have excellent observations skills
- Have initiative and attention to detail
- Be able to relocate to the lower Hunter Valley
