As part of our Oral Health team at Ferntree Gully, EACH is looking for a Full Time, Trainee Dental Assistant to provide efficient clinical chair-side assistance to the dental operators in all facets of the delivery of safe, high quality, efficient and effective public dental services.
**What you’ll be doing**
The key objective of this role is to acquire fundamental clinical knowledge and skills in dental/oral health by undertaking and completing an accredited course with an approved partner Registered Training Organization (RTO). You will be expected to have good written and verbal communication, time management skills, a positive attitude, work well in a team and have intermediate level IT skills.
You will be required to work in a professional manner whilst gaining experience in all aspects of Dental Assisting including infection control, chairside assistance to the clinicians and sterilisation of instruments/equipment in a supportive working environment.
**Who you’ll be working with**
We are a large public dental agency with a mobile van and outreach programs, and the team consists of dentist prosthetist, oral health therapist, dental therapist, senior dental assistants, oral health educators, dental assistants and trainee dental assistants. EACH also supports dental student placements during the year from Melbourne University.
