About the role:
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to individuals with disabilities to help them lead an independent and fulfilling life. You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation. You will also support clients in pursuing their goals and interests, such as education, community paricipation and/or improving quality of life.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide support to clients with disabilities in a manner that promotes their independence, dignity, and respect.
- Assist clients with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
- Encourage and support clients to pursue their goals and interests, such as education and employment.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client support and progress.
- Adhere to all NDIS quality and safety standards.
- Requirements:

- Experience working as a Disability Support Worker or a similar role.
- Knowledge of the NDIS and its requirements.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Police check and working with children check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Fixed shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ipswich, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Direct Disability Support: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)
