As we prepare to launch, we're looking for a Casual Restaurant Supervisor to help ensure our operations run smoothly and deliver a memorable experience to our guests.
As a Casual Restaurant Supervisor at Tipsy Cow Steakhouse, you will be an essential part of our front-of-house team, overseeing daily operations and leading by example to maintain exceptional service standards. You will be responsible for supervising the team, ensuring a positive guest experience, and ensuring that the unique hot stone cooking process is delivered safely and efficiently. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about hospitality and excited to be a part of a fresh and innovative dining concept.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth service during all shifts and maintaining high standards of customer care.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic to inspire and motivate your team.
- Ensure guests are informed and comfortable with the hot stone cooking experience, explaining the process and assisting with any questions.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a calm, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Assist in training staff on product knowledge, the hot stone cooking process, and excellent customer service practices.
- Ensure that the team adheres to restaurant policies, safety regulations, and health standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that orders are processed and delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, balancing tills, and ensuring the restaurant is prepped for the next shift.
- Support the restaurant management team with stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory.
- Assist in creating staff rosters and ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and efficient team environment to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a diverse team.
- An understanding of the hospitality industry, particularly in a casual or steakhouse environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage difficult situations gracefully.
- Ability to multitask and manage high-pressure situations with a calm, positive attitude.
- A passion for food and drink, with a willingness to learn and educate others about the unique hot stone dining experience.
- Ability to lead and work within a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience working in a steakhouse or casual dining environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Experience with new restaurant openings or launches is a plus.
