**About the Role**

The Autism Services Advisor team supports individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families to understand their options for support and services. The position involves individual and family consultancies and community liaison. An understanding of Autism supports and services, NDIS funding and/or Autism Association services is a key component of the role. This vital position is a client focused role that will be the first point of contact for all enquiries into the Autism Association of WA.

**About You**

We are looking for a full time Autism Advisor to join our wonderful, dedicated team and undertake the important role of supporting enquiries. This position is on a 12 month fixed term basis, with a possible extension.

In this role, you will ideally have:

- Demonstrated understanding of Autism and the challenges people with Autism and their families experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of people The ability to listen and understand what is important to the individual and family and link them in with suitable supports
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills
- Knowledge and experience of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, NDIS processes and pathways
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Experience presenting and facilitating workshops and information sessions
