**Role Description/Criteria**

St. Martin de Porres Primary School is a growing multicultural school in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Set on large grounds, we have recently been refurbished and have flexible rather than open plan learning spaces.

We currently educate 260 students with diverse backgrounds, needs and interests across 11 classes. We operate in teams of two or three classes at a level.

Working within a collaborative teaching team, you will be supported to continue to develop professionally and experience the satisfaction of growing eager learners.

St Martin de Porres is a Visible Learning school and embraces collegiality, requiring the successful applicant to work collaboratively in a supportive team environment.

Graduates are welcome to apply. School tours available for interested applicants. Just ring the office to make a suitable time.

**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**

Applicants will be expected to:

- create a vibrant learning environment in which all students are challenged, engaged and motivated
- build and maintain positive relationships with learners, their families and colleagues
- have high expectations for all students
- gather, analyse and use student data to drive learning and teaching and inform best practice
- implement contemporary teaching tools and high impact strategies to grow student learning
- have an understanding of and interest in Visible Learning
- be committed to ongoing professional learning
- embrace and participate in the life of the St Martin de Porres school community.

**Application Procedures**

Applicants should:

- provide a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria and a current resume including three referees one of whom is an applicant's current principal
- have relevant teaching qualifications
- be currently registered with VIT
- have accreditation to teach Religious Education (or will work towards accreditation)
- be committed to the ethos of Catholic education.
