**Position Information**:
**Bomaderry Public School is on the northern side of the Shoalhaven River and aims to be the centre of the community. A place where students, families and staff work together to create a learning environment where all community members feel known, valued and cared for. Current student enrolment of 413 our wonderful school boasts 15 mainstream classes, with 9 support classes and we are thrilled with the growth of our school. Our community is diverse in all aspects, and we support all individuals through specialist support classes, EALD programs, quality Aboriginal education programs and early intervention. We enjoy working with external agencies, health professionals and NDIS providers to maximise the learning and wellbeing opportunities for all of our students. **A dedicated group of parents work hard to maintain an effective Parents and Citizens' association with whom the school works collaboratively and consultatively. **All staff have the ultimate aim of improving the quality of teaching and support in every classroom, for every student. Positive Behaviour for Learning and a highly effective Learning Support Team exists to promote engagement and a quality learning environment.**
**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary.
- Demonstrated ability and experience to balance exemplary classroom practice, lead the implementation of the new syllabus reforms as well as fulfil the complex leadership and management roles of an Assistant Principal.
- An approachable leader who demonstrates an ability to visibly lead stage-based and whole-school initiatives developing strong, authentic relationships with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with executive staff to lead a school-wide culture that is characterised by high performance, continuous improvement, data-informed decision making and a commitment to best practice through the strategic improvement plan.
- Highly visible and collaborative leader, who promotes a culture of belonging and high expectations to enhance student well-being, inclusion and strengthen positive partnerships within the wider school community.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning- 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies**Conditions**:
