**Patient Accounts Administrator**

We have an exciting opportunity for **Billing Officers** to join our supportive, dynamic and growing team at the **Patient Accounts Management NSW South Hub.**

NSW South Patient accounts Hub is Located in Wollongong just 80km south of Sydney. Wollongong is a major metropolitan hub on the coast of NSW. Whilst enjoying all the services of a major metropolitan city, Wollongong residents also enjoy a relaxed beach lifestyle in this beautiful coastal location

**The Role**

The successful applicant will be part of a team that provides billing and initial collections support to several Ramsay Health Care private hospitals across Southern NSW.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

- Ensure Revenue Cycle standard policies, processes and documentation are successfully implemented and consistently complied with
- Maintain Unbilled Revenue reports for workload
- Review and submit accurate patient billing to health funds and third parties to required KPIs
- Undertake initial Debt collection functions
- Respond to patient or stakeholder queries relating to billing and debt collections
- Build and maintain relationships with site teams interfacing to billing processes
- Completion of and ongoing compliance with mandatory training modules
- Interpreting health fund contracts

**About You**

This position is suited to a self-motivated individual or Graduate with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and to someone who can manage their workload to meet key deadlines. Additionally, you should possess a strong customer focus and demonstrate the ability to communicate well with stakeholders at various levels of the organisation. To be successful in this role, you will also have the following criteria:
**Essential**:

- Understanding of basic accounts principles
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of computer literacy and advanced user in Microsoft programs
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and cohesively within a team environment
- Exceptional time management skills

**Desirable**:

- Certificate in Medical Terminology
- Relevant health services experience
- Knowledge of Health fund contracts and accounting processes
- Accounts Receivable knowledge
- Experience in hospital mainframe systems
