ROLE OVERVIEW
The Bovine Logistical Specialist is an integral part of our global team to help bring certainty to genetic progress in livestock. The Bovine Logistical Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring efficient operation and coordination of the logístical aspects involving the IVF process. This role involves planning and coordinating travel logistics for the team, scheduling OPU and ET events, and data management. The specialist works closely with veterinarians, farms, and IVF laboratories to ensure efficient and successful IVF procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize the Ovum pick up (OPU) and embryos transfer (ET) schedule.
- Coordinate, schedule, price, and ensure proper payment of couriers used to mitigate logistics for a more efficient process.
- Coordinate and schedule hotel, flights and logistics of materials and embryos for the embryo transfer team.
- Work with laboratory, field, and sales teams to ensure efficient and productive travel decisions are made that support customer needs.
- Provide available OPU dates to sales team members and clients for services that are requested.
- Report on weekly sites visited, oocytes produced, projected embryos made, etc on a weekly basis (the Pipeline report) and any additional reporting requested.
- Ability to coordinate and schedule cost-effective travel arrangements when necessary
- Ability to maintain daytime communications with local Suppliers for purchase orders.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and within country when required
- Work collaboratively with the the US purchasing and logistics team with inventory management, order processing, supplier coordination, cost control, data analysis, shipment coordination, transport management, compliance, problem resolution, and process improvement.
