ABOUT THE ROLE

In this position you’ll maintain the well-being of clients and help them work towards their goals and aspirations. You’ll provide support in their day to day lives by assisting and encouraging them to participate in daily tasks such as meals, cleaning, medication and personal care. You will also assist them to live their best life by enabling them to engage in community participation activities.

Working with Momentum means you’ll be part of an organisation which creates positive and lasting change in people’s lives

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual who brings a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude to their work. You’ll be a confident communicator, eager to grow and develop new skills. A key part of this role involves supporting clients with mental health conditions, so experience in the mental health sector will be highly valued.

Importantly, we’re seeking someone who is open to completing sleepover shifts as part of their commitment to client care.

Criteria:

- Cert III in relevant industry qualification and/or relevant experience
- Current Driver’s Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred approach.
- Ability to follow established support work practices.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect with clients.
