Field Worker a

**About the role**

As Field Worker A, you will be part of the Open Space team, and responsible for general maintenance within our many wonderful parks and reserves.

You will have the opportunity to maintain and beautify parks and gardens across the city and:

- Operate machinery and undertake detailed maintenance of garden and turf areas
- Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained
- Communicate with your team and supervisor and know the work you do is valued, both within council and by the community

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current C Class Driver Licence
- Experience in parks and garden maintenance
- FIT Testing for respiratory protection equipment: workers must pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight-fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment. Workers must be clean shaven or only have facial hair that doesn't interfere with the fitting surfaces and the valve of the respirator
- You may be required to have a Q Fever Immunisation
- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership

A pre-employment medical will be required for this role (Including drug and alcohol testing).

This is a full-time permanent position at LGE level 2 - 4 with a salary commencing at $61,723 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
