**24 month fixed term contract**

An amazing opportunity to join a well-established, highly professional, and high performing Strategic Sourcing Team at CBH This role provides strategic category management and source-to-contract services aligned with CBH objectives, across a range of high profile categories within the organisation.

**Key responsibilities**:
- Develop good operational and commercial understanding of assigned categories and contracts.- Develop and implement sound category and sourcing strategies that will deliver safety, cost, timelines and quality optimisation, ensuring stakeholder alignment at all levels.- Implement effective portfolio management and stakeholder engagement for pro-active management of procurement initiatives.-
- Provide leadership in contracting processes, developing contract competencies, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.- Run effective contract management (e.g. contract performance management, contract terms risk management).- Run effective customer and supplier relationship management to drive value creation and realisation.- Drive a strong culture of safety and productivity.

**Skills and experience**:
- Minimum of 5 years in an end-to-end strategic procurement role within medium to large organisations.- Proven experience in understanding and managing complex and diverse categories, contracts, business requirements.- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing to all levels of the organisation.- Strong analytical skills, including ability to advise on complex contract terms, to develop clear business cases (including financials) for category and contracts strategies implementation, and measure / report on contract performance- Strong commercial acumen and ability to think outside the box.- Strong negotiator with experience as a negotiation lead for complex business requirements (e.g. complex scopes of work, diverse range of stakeholders, multi-faceted commercial arrangements with evolving requirements)- Experienced in effective project management and customer and supplier relationship management- Degree or relevant experience in Supply Chain, Law, Procurement, Business.- Experience in Rail, IT, Maintenance, Labour categories is desirable.
