We are currently seeking a Manager of Case & Services for one of our clients to assist in the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective, and targeted crisis intervention and support service in an institutional setting. This position would also contribute to the development of programmes and services, with a focus on needs, education and vocational training, health, mental health, and recreation.

The position also performs the role of Case Management Coordinator which includes the responsibility for a caseload to ensure effective implementation, management and support of Case Management. Additionally, overseeing the co-ordination of their volunteer program and engaging in the community.

Duties include:

- Participating in the development and implementation of strategies to improve the capacity and effectiveness of communities to understand, support and deliver their services.
- Providing management and oversight of community service programs and projects, including budget management.
- Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement that contributes to positive community outcomes.
- Allocating a Case Management Co-ordinator
- Ensuring that all admission and induction tasks are completed within established timeframes.
- Ensuring services are covered by Development Plans or Program Plans in place.
- Implementing Plans and any specialist intervention strategies
- Monitoring the progress of specialist interventions and provide reports as required and within timeframes that suit the intensity of case management
- Ensuring that Case Reviews are held and review every six (6) months.
- Liaising with industries personnel regarding employment opportunities
- Providing guidance and assistance to accommodation officers in the provision of welfare services
- Providing guidance, support, and counselling to staff.
- Co-ordinating organisational and institution change processes following appropriate consultation and negotiations with staff, and ensuring training and support is given to staff to assist in adapting to change.
- Assisting in the management of crisis intervention and support through the implementation of quality, focussed services such as; leading the High-Risk Assessment Team, education programs, health services; and recreation programs
- Ensuring individual training and development needs of staff are identified and addressed using performance management review systems in line with corporate vision and business plans
- Ensuring that the principles of Equal Opportunity, Industrial Relations, Occupational Health Safety and Welfare, and Rehabilitation and Workers Compensation are promoted, adhered to, and maintained.

About You:

- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of contemporary offender management including the provision of crisis intervention and support services, risk and need focussed offender development programs, prisoner educational and vocational training, case management and re-integration services.
- Proven management, interpersonal and coaching skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of management, staff, and external organisations, to develop a cooperative approach to the operation of a workgroup, to provide feedback, motivate and influence employee behaviour, to empower and delegate authority effectively, and to effectively counsel, handle conflict, mediate and negotiate acceptable solutions.
- A record of success at a senior level in providing a creative approach to planning, recognising the need for change, initiating, guiding, and managing change processes, and enhancing the quality-of-service delivery.
- Demonstrated competence to plan, develop, monitor, and evaluate procedures that relate to Case Management.
- Demonstrated high level of negotiation, oral and written communication skills including the ability to liaise with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, and demonstrated competence to prepare complex reports and submissions, and negotiate their recommendations.
- Proven experience in management of human resources, and knowledge of and commitment to the principles of personnel management, health and welfare, industrial awards, and related legislation.
- Proven experience in management of financial and physical resources including broad knowledge of budget processes and procedures.
- Understanding of, and ability to manage according to the legislative requirements of the Work Health & Safety Act, Regulations, and associated Codes of Practice, utilising AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management
