Early Childhood Room Leader

Canberra, Australia MP Centres (Kambah, Torrens and Majura Park) Full time

We are looking for an amazing Room Leader to perform one of the most important jobs around, that of an Early Childhood Educator. This role is leading and over-seeing the beautiful, small and intimate Babies Room at Majura Park Childcare Centre. This is a maternity leave cover.

Successful applicants will be required to provide the best possible care to the infants at our centre, implement our policies and procedures, attend training opportunities, oversee a small team, develop and implement daily programs, record observations and work in collaboration with the children's families, and have the intention to remain in our company in an early childhood role.

Interested applicants must be able to:

- love and care for tiny humans - with respect and passion;
- be able to know young children as individuals, respecting their unique routines;
- supporting them with all aspects of their daily care;
- educate their growing minds - develop and implementing educational activities at a moments notice, or a child's interest ‘right now’;
- write about children in an interesting and intelligent way; and
- support families to adjust to having you, and your team care for their most precious creations.

You must be a positive person with:

- a recognised Australian Qualification in Early Childhood Education at the Bachelor or Graduate Diploma level, or a Diploma in Early Education and Care;
- excellent communication skills;
- ability to deliver excellent routine, provocations and care to babies.
- Australian citizenship (or Visa eligibility);
- a Working With Vulnerable People Check (ACT); and
- a desire to work and thrive in a close knit team.

**Salary**: From $66,500.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
