Exercise Physiologist

The Exercise Physiology profession has a strong focus on student clinical education (pre-entry Exercise Physiology students) along with clinical research, with applicants sharing this interest encouraged to apply.
This position supports clinical education initiatives of the Exercise Physiology profession within Queensland Health, including facilitating the university collaborative with placement offers and allocations. This position will monitor and report all clinical placement activity data for Exercise Physiology within Queensland Health and Mater facilities. This position will work with, and report professionally to, the Chair of the Exercise Physiology profession specific group and the Statewide Clinical Education & Training Program Manager to operationalise the clinical education initiatives for the Exercise Physiology Profession within Queensland Health.
Permanent Part-time, 30.4 hours per fortnight.
About you
- High level knowledge, expertise, and skills in contemporary exercise physiology clinical practice.
- Experience in clinical education or research related to clinical education relevant to exercise physiology.
- High level ability to communicate with exercise physiology staff, education providers and other key stakeholders on a broad range of issues pertaining to student placements and new graduate support.
- High level expertise and skill in time management (including prioritisation of clinical and non-clinical workloads) and the ability to monitor and evaluate activities, including new initiatives.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate the exercise physiology clinical education program and its contribution to health service delivery.

**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
- This role provides health, counselling and support services that involve children will require a blue card.
