**The role**

We are currently seeking a talented **Distribution Designer / Drafter - Energy** to work within our Melbourne power team.

With at least 2 **years’ **experience in Electrical distribution design and / or drafting, you will play a key role in:

- Underground and Overhead Distribution Design drafting on the VESI Power Network (Powercor, AusNet Services, Jemena, United Energy)
- Road lighting design (Metered / non metered) and / or drafting on the North East Link (NEL) Project
- Technical delivery, and client relationship management for all Urban electrical and Utility projects
- Strong team player and design management for Energy related projects
- Delivering projects under strict timescales whilst ensuring quality performance meets with SMEC objectives
- Contributing to bid preparation and providing technical input across other disciplines where needed.

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy or utility and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
- Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or industry equivalent experience of 2+ years
- Ideally have design accreditation with Victorian Network Services Providers (Powercor, AusNet Services, Jemena, United Energy)
- Must have experience using AutoCAD (2+ years)
- Experience in MicroStation, PowerCAD, LVDesign PerfectLite AGI32 will be desirable
- OH design with Poles n Wires, NPOLES or other similar software will be desirable
- Lighting design experience (AS1158) will be desirable
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work within a high performing team environment
- Victorian experience Drivers Licence
