The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor works within the Engineering and Facilities Services (EFS) Branch, which consists of three teams: Facilities Management; Industrial Engineering; and Products and Process Engineering. Working within the Facilities Management team, the Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor executes trade-specific tasks such as turning, welding and fitting. They inspect, service and repair equipment, ensuring its operational integrity and safety. They conduct preventive and periodical maintenance ensuring compliance with all required regulatory requirements.

The duties of this position include:

- Coordinating, planning, scheduling and implementing maintenance programs to achieve and maintain mechanical availability targets for plant and equipment.
- Managing established relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers concerning servicing and spare parts, and warranty and performance issues.
- Developing and implementing strategies aimed at improving overall plant efficiency.
- Recording and reporting on the condition of plant and equipment to ensure maintenance programs are appropriate.
- Undertaking duties while on call and responding to matters outside of standard business hours as required.
- Working collaboratively, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders, to support the work of all Mint branches.
- Coordinating and managing the relocation of plant and equipment.
- Supervising team members and apprentices to ensure tasks are completed as required.
- Providing solutions to complex problems to ensure operation of Infrastructure, including interoperating engineered drawings.

**Security clearance**
This position requires a **Baseline** security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
