**About the role**:
- The Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager will be responsible for managing a case load of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal persons to deliver dynamic evidence based best practice in the case management of individuals with complex needs and those who have committed serious offences.
- This role may also require you to assist in assessing client's suitability for corrections orders and attendance to provide advice to the Koori Court.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement cultural support plans for Aboriginal persons
- Identify and evaluate factors that relate to individual offending behaviour and provide individualised risk assessment Provide advice to senior management and community-based teams on effective case management of Aboriginal persons
- Develop relationships with Aboriginal organisations and other organisations that support and strengthen the case management of Aboriginal persons
- Manage a caseload and develop rapport with individuals to address offending behaviour and complete corrections orders
**About you**:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Aboriginal Community
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community and the issues impacting on it
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks
- Ability to implement theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes
- Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to innovate
