**Product Owner (Senior Manager), Risk System Modernisation - Consumer Finance**

The purpose of this role is to lead a team of SMEs to design and implement future state Credit Risk systems for best-in-class processing and decisioning across Consumer Finance.

**RBS Consumer Finance manages the development and delivery of all retail credit products, including Credit Cards, Personal Loans and simple credit products including Buy Now Pay Later.

The Credit Risk and CommAssets Crew within RBS Consumer Finance is accountable for managing all credit risk lending policies, strategies, automated decisioning, models and Comprehensive Credit Reporting, in conjunction with the data and systems that support this activity across Consumer Finance.

**Your impact and contribution
**As a Product Owner within the Credit Risk and CommAssets Crew, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a modern suite of Credit Risk technology to support credit risk processing and decisioning. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing updates on various legacy systems until replacements are delivered. You will be leading a multi-disciplinary team of SMEs across multiple geographies to achieve this, while creating a safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture, and working collaboratively within and across Crews.

This position reports to the **Crew Lead, Credit Risk and CommAssets, Consumer Finance **.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Define and deliver the roadmap and modernisation agenda across the Credit Risk technology estate.
- Deliver initiatives on time, to scope and within budget.
- Deliver ‘run’ updates and implementations for legacy Credit Risk systems and processes until replacements are delivered.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders within and across Consumer Finance Crews, other internal CBA teams and external vendors to ensure technology solutions are developed and deployed in a way aligned with the Group’s Technology strategy and enterprise architecture
- Maintain strong consideration for operational risk, including support for production incidents
- Continuously review and enhance existing delivery practices to ensure delivery can become more efficient
- Provide leadership including team engagement, strategic vision, and alignment to Consumer Finance goals, across a diverse range of team members located in multiple geographies
- Communicate project status, blockers, dependencies, issue and risks across a variety of stakeholders, forums and committees
- Be accountable for end-to-end delivery (including requirement, solution design, quality control, obtaining all sign-off, production deployment and post go-live support
- Engage various key stakeholders for addressing impediments, managing conflicts and escalations
- Lead all agile ceremonies for your squad, build a high performing team, support squad members to meet sprint goals and groom and prioritise the squad backlog effectively.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrable experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams, stakeholders, review boards and committees to deliver technology outcomes
- Sound knowledge of credit risk technologies and other technology integration patterns, ideally in originations and/or credit underwriting
- Strong experience in Senior Manager level roles
- Demonstrated capability for constructive challenge, including process improvement and challenging the status quo
- Past experience in development of high performing teams
- Strong prior technology delivery experience, and a demonstrable ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, with ability to break down and summarise complex technical concepts into plain English
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Prior experience in leading engineering or other technology teams, solution design, and / or technical business analysis
