**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a Boilermaker at our Wilpinjong mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 58 kilometers northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.

**Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor**, you will complete planned and unplanned maintenance of Peabody’s mining equipment as directed by the Leading Hand / Supervisor to the required standards. You will also comply with all site and statutory OH&S regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others including the use of site safety systems.

Duties will include:

- Compliance with site Safety and Health Management system requirements (including risk management, SOP’s, permits, work instructions etc.).
- Prioritise and undertake specified and/or general work to the required standard and within timeframes
- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment.
- Minimise production downtime
- Participate in and complete shift change, site meetings, communications or reporting requirements to the required standard.
- Actively engage in the in the Continuous Improvement Program

**About you**:

- Boilermaker/Engineering (Fabrication) Certificate III Trade qualification essential
- Ability to produce and maintain welding standards compliant to AS1554.
- Ability to identify Category A,B & C Welding environments and their applicable management controls.
- Experience in Thermic Lancing and Air Arc Gouging processes.
- Experience in maintaining and servicing excavators, mobile earthmoving equipment and fixed plant
- Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA’s, Risk Assessments & Permits
- A commitment to being an effective team player
