Deputy Facility Manager

**The Role**:
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to join Southern Cross Care NSW/ACT as Deputy Residential Manager also known as the Deputy Facility Manager position.

This position is being offered as a permanent part time role with 4 days a week schedule to maintain work life balance.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:

- Provide a caring environment that enhances the security, welfare and wellbeing of residents through planning and directing the provision of a range of high quality personal and clinical care.
- Acknowledge and foster a partnership with each resident, respecting their dignity and privacy and ensuring they are given opportunities to make decisions, particularly those concerning their day-to-day routines
- Ensure staff are educated and understand the requirements of relevant State and Commonwealth authorities and the Aged Care Act
- Ensure compliance with all accreditation standards
- Lead team members in a positive and motivational manner, ensuring clear communication about work objectives and outcomes, resulting in a cohesive working team with a common goal
- Operate within budgetary limitations and promote amongst staff responsible attitude towards financial management.
- Degree in Nursing/Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care
- Experience in a relieving leadership/supervisory role in health care or aged care settings
- Good sensitivity to and understanding of the aspirations and needs of the elderly
- Sound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as applicable to Aged Care facilities is desirable
- Evidence of COVID 19 and Flu Vaccinations
