
Family and Youth Counsellor

**Your role would include**:
- Provide Play Therapy sessions to young clients.
- Collaborate with parents through initial consultations, reviews and other contact as needed.
- Hold in-person and online counselling sessions.
- Maintain adequate and ongoing client files, case notes, reports and risk management documentation.
About you:
Requirements:
- At least one year's experience in Counselling
- We are looking for a counsellor to work in our rooms on Mondays and Fridays with the posiblilty of extending their days if required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Social Work, or another related field.
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Family Therapy or Play Therapy (or working towards completing this)
- Membership, or willingness to become a member, with the ACA and/or Australian Play Therapy Association ( APPTA, PTPA)
- Western Australia Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Own ABN and Public Liability Insurance
- Own laptop and mobile
**Experience**:
- Demonstrated experience working therapeutically with children aged 3 - 11 years.
- Demonstrated experience working with parents.
- A passion for Child-Centred and evidence-based practice.
- The ability to incorporate non-directive and directive therapy when necessary.
**Job Type**: Contract
**Salary**: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
